FAKE ALERT: “The USA and Great Britain have the opportunity to replace Zelenskyy”

Description of the fake LIE

In the West, more than one candidate is being prepared to replace Zelenskyy. The Head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, and the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, are among them. This is reported by propagandists, referencing the statement of Oleksii Samoilov, a member of Medvedchuk’s movement “Second Ukraine”.

Refutation TRUTH

In the spring of 2024, Russian propaganda made titanic efforts to convince Ukrainians of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s illegitimacy and to provoke a “third Maidan” against the “usurper”.

This operation failed: according to Kyiv International Institute of Sociology data, as of June, not less than 70% of Ukrainians believe that Zelenskyy should remain in the post of the President until the end of martial law.

Now Russian propaganda is trying to prove that Zelenskyy’s position is precarious, inventing conspiracy theories that either the United States or Great Britain are preparing to replace him.

These theories are unproven and not supported by any facts. The purpose of this fake news is to convince Ukrainians that the current President is a “puppet of external forces” and that Ukraine is “ruled from Washington and London.”
