Description of the fake LIE

The governments of the EU countries do not hide the fact that the real cause of the war in Ukraine is the fight against Russia for the free use of mineral deposits in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts of Ukraine. This news, citing German MP Roderich Kiesewetter, is spread by Kremlin propaganda.

Refutation TRUTH

In fact, Kiesewetter, a Bundestag member from the CDU, said that Russia took the EU into an energy blockade with the seizure of large lithium deposits in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts in 2014 in an interview with the ARD channel and in an expanded article published by Telepolis, StopFake found out.

“The largest lithium deposits in Europe are located in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. That is why Russia wanted to make us [Europe] dependent on the energy transition with an eye on electric motors… That is why we need joint efforts of citizens so that our politicians who have their support do more for Ukraine,” the German MP said.

Kiesewetter spoke about Ukrainian minerals exclusively in the context of the motives of Russian aggression against Ukraine and the need to support Ukraine in the war. He did not say a word about “Europe fighting a war with the Kremlin for free mineral resources in Ukraine.”
