Social networks are one of the most effective ways of spreading disinformation in Russia. Instant access to the end user makes it extremely convenient and efficient. And the ability to distribute information anonymously provides even more opportunities for audience manipulation.

Facebook takes a key space in this pyramid of lies. Meta’s public policy allows almost anyone to quickly place an advertising message, targeting it to the right audience that interests the advertiser the most. And in the conditions of a full-scale war, the Russians actively use this opportunity to carry out information attacks against Ukraine and Ukrainians.
