The use of the Bayraktar drone by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as with any weapon, is a last resort, but an effective measure nonetheless.
As reported by the General Staff, the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi was issued only after diplomatic means were exhausted, namely, the occupants did not respond to the demand of the Armed Forces to stop fire on Ukrainian positions, which resulted in the death of one Ukrainian soldier.
To suppress hostile shooting, the MAM-S munitions were used, with the least possible power, which allowed the military forces of Russian occupying troops to stay alive and retreat.
This restricted use of force in response to hostile provocations shows both the resolution of Ukraine’s Armed Forces to contain the enemy and respond to manifestations of aggression and Ukraine’s humane attitude even to the aggressor.
