The European Commission has recommended Ukraine to be granted European Union candidate status
“We recommend giving Ukraine the candidate status, on the understanding that the country will carry out a number of important reforms,” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said during a June 17 press conference. “Ukraine has clearly shown commitment to live up to European values and standards.”
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom visited Ukraine
Boris Johnson visited Ukraine for the second time during the full-scale war with Russia.
“We are with you! We will work to intensify sanctions against the Putin regime. We will continue to strengthen the diplomatic coalition around the world in support of Ukraine,” said the British Prime Minister in Kyiv.

Russian Forces continue to shell Sumy region with mortars. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian Forces targeted the Zelenodolsk community with artillery. Kharkiv also remains under fire. Russian Forces continue to attack the Donetsk region with tanks, artillery, mortars, Grad MLRS, as well as X-22 and X-59MK missiles. Constant fighting continues in the Kherson region.

Ukraine introduces visa regime for Russian citizens
Ukraine is reviewing the entry regime of Russian citizens into the country to counter unprecedented threats to national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity. The visa regime will be introduced from July 1, 2022.
