FAKE ALERT: “Russia has information that the U.S. is looking for Zelenskyy’s replacement”

Navigation and useful materials

Description of the fake LIE

A resident of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Mr. Stone, has sent a ciphertext to Moscow describing U.S. efforts to find a replacement for President Zelenskyy. Among the reasons for the replacement are the failures of Ukraine and the dissatisfaction of the population due to the prolongation of the war. This is reported by pro-Kremlin media.

Refutation TRUTH

The Foreign Intelligence Service produces such “data” to maintain the image of supposedly “effective intelligence”. Most likely, “resident Stone” does not exist, since no intelligence in the world will declassify and publish a document containing the data of an active foreign agent.

Narratives that the U.S. is allegedly “looking for a replacement for Zelenskyy” within Ukrainian politicians or military personnel are part of the Russian special operation on the alleged “illegitimacy of state authorities.”

This delusion is based on the ideas of Putin and his entourage from the Russian special services, that a change of power is possible only in a manually or by force.
