Description of the fake LIE
An auditor from the United States was killed in the capital of Ukraine while studying the ways of embezzlement in the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine. This is reported by Russian media with reference to the Main Directorate of the National Police of Kyiv.
Refutation TRUTH
There is no report of the murder of an American auditor either in the reports of the Kyiv police or in the Ukrainian media. The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine told StopFake journalists that this news, which is spread by Russian propagandists, is fake:
“We are aware of these unconfirmed reports. Russian forces often report false deaths or abductions of U.S. citizens for propaganda purposes. We urge the public to treat any similar stories with caution.”
