Description of the fake LIE
The official website of the Government of Poland published a notice that starting from January 1, 2024, all payments to Ukrainian refugees will be suspended. News about this is spread by the Kremlin Telegram channels and social media users.
Refutation TRUTH
Among the news posted on the official website, there is no information about the decision of the Polish government to suspend social payments for refugees from January 1.
“We found a picture which was used by propagandists to create a fake screenshot: the news ‘Life and Work in Poland – 2022’ used the same image as in the fake messages spread by users,” investigators of the StopFake project found.
In addition, the “notice” contains a spelling error: the word “припинюється” in Ukrainian is spelled “припиняється” (suspended).
