Description of the fake LIE

Ukrainian diplomacy “manipulates” the topic of Russian shelling of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, trying to “get another tens of billions of dollars and euros” from donor countries.

This conclusion was drawn by the pro-Russian media from the statement of the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kuleba that Russia would again resort to mass shelling of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure in winter.

Refutation TRUTH

Kuleba’s statements about preparations for winter and the need for air defence systems are not blackmail, but harsh realities, StopFake journalists noted.

The Minister believes that Ukraine is preparing for the most difficult winter in its history, and he has reasons for this. Last autumn and winter, Russian occupiers carried out dozens of targeted strikes on the energy system of Ukraine.

According to the UN, 42 out of 94 key high-voltage transformers in Ukraine were damaged or destroyed by Russian missile attacks.

In the autumn-winter period of 2022-2023, there were no thermal and hydroelectric power plants left intact in Ukraine. The power system suffered losses of more than USD 10 bln.
