FAKE ALERT: “The West expresses dissatisfaction with Zelenskyy’s adventure in Kursk”

Description of the fake LIE

The West is unsatisfied that Zelenskyy, due to the failure in Kursk oblast, has probably cancelled the second phase of the entire military campaign in 2024, which was promised to his sponsors. This delusion was spread by the Russian propaganda Telegram channel “Legitimniy”.

Refutation TRUTH

Legitimniy Telegram channel is a part of the Russian propaganda network. According to the investigation of SBU, the special services of the Russian Federation involved pro-Russian Ukrainians in the administration of this channel.

In 2021, the publication LIGA.net has established that Artem Davydchenko, who in 2014 was a confidant of Oleg Tsarev, a traitor to Ukraine, and one of the organisers of the anti-Maidan riots in Odesa, was behind this network.

By spreading gossip about the “failure of the Kursk operation” and “the dissatisfaction of the West,” Russian propaganda seeks to sow disbelief among Ukrainians in the competence of the top military-political leadership of Ukraine and to overwrite the clear success of the Ukrainian Defence Forces in the Kursk oblast.

Moreover, in this way, Russia is trying to convince Ukrainians that it is “impossible” to win this war and that the only way to peace is supposedly “surrender on Putin’s terms.”
