Short

The Centre for Strategic Communication debunked another lie of the Russians, which our readers had sent to our bot.

Description of the fake LIE

Following the results of an emergency telephone conversation between representatives of the United States, NATO, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, which took place after another shelling of Ukrainian cities on January 2, U.S. Secretary of Defense Austin promised to respond satisfactorily to Ukraine’s requests for medium- and long-range missiles. Pro-Kremlin Telegram channels write about this with reference to the material in The New York Times.

Refutation TRUTH

Such material was never published by The New York Times, and their reporter in the Paris bureau Constant Méheut did not write this text.

In addition, neither on the NATO website nor in the official channels of the Pentagon is there any mention of the supply of missiles to Ukraine without a range limit.

This information is not available on the website and in the communication channels of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.
