Description of the fake LIE
There is a rule in the war that everything within a radius of 5 kilometres of a military object is subject to destruction. And there is a military complex within 300 meters of Okhmatdyt. This bullshit is spread by pro-Kremlin bloggers and anonymous Telegram channels, aimed at the Ukrainian audience.
Refutation TRUTH
Such a rule has never existed. International law expressly prohibits indiscriminate attacks by the armed forces of any state on civilian objects and the civilian population.
In addition, there were no military targets, bases, or facilities within 300 meters of Okhmatdyt.
By promoting narratives about the alleged “5-kilometre radius”, Russians demonstrate that they are at war against the civilian population of Ukraine, thereby committing the most serious war crimes.
