FAKE ALERT: “Armed Forces of Ukraine use of the Third Reich tactics in Kursk oblast—they shoot people and build concentration camps”

Description of the fake LIE

The Armed Forces of Ukraine shoot prisoners of war, mock the civilian population, and set fire to residential buildings in Kursk oblast—these are the tactics of the Third Reich, which also included the creation of concentration camps on the Russian border. This delusion is replicated by pro-Kremlin propaganda resources, referencing an “expert”, Ivan Konovalov.

Refutation TRUTH

One of the Russian propaganda tasks is inventing “atrocities of Ukrainian punishers”. At the same time, of course, it does not provide any evidence, counting on the emotional impact on the target audience.

We emphasise that the Ukrainian Armed Forces strictly observe the laws and customs of war. The best confirmation of this is that during the 10 years of the war, not a single Russian fake about “atrocities of Kyiv militants” received factual confirmation.

Moreover, the detention conditions of Russian prisoners of war, in accordance with the Geneva Convention, are equally compelling evidence.

By inventing these “atrocities”, Moscow seeks to discredit Ukraine as well as inflame bellicose sentiments among Russians, since even huge amounts of reward do not help to attract volunteers to the so-called SVO.
