Description of the fake LIE
A sculpture in honour of Joe Biden, shaking hands with President Zelenskyy, will be erected on the site of the demolished monument to Pushkin in Kyiv. About UAH 10 mln was allocated for the construction. This news story is distributed in the Russian segment of Telegram.
Refutation TRUTH
There is no information in open sources about the monument that is planned to be erected instead of the monument to Pushkin. Ukrainian and foreign media did not write anything about the installation Partners Forever in honour of Joe Biden, VoxCheck fact-checkers say.
“The only thing that was installed in honour of Joe Biden in Kyiv is a plaque on the Alley of Courage, located opposite the Verkhovna Rada,” VoxCheck fact-checkers note.
In addition, there are no tenders to erect a monument to Joe Biden from the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation on the Prozorro public procurement website.
The press service of Metinvest Holding LLC, which the fake producers indicated as the executor of these works, responded that the documents distributed by the propagandists were fake.
