FAKE ALERT: “Energoatom supplies electricity to Poland from the Khmelnytskyi NPP”

Description of the fake LIE

Energoatom has confirmed its readiness to fulfil a long-term contract for the supply of electricity to Poland from two power units of the Khmelnytskyi NPP. There is actually no need for planned and preventive maintenance of the power unit. This is reported by propaganda Telegram-channels.

Refutation TRUTH

Ukraine does not export electricity to the EU, but only provides transit flows from one European country to another, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of the Board of NPC Ukrenergo, said in an interview with Hromadske.

The letter distributed by Kremlin propagandists is a fake.

The text of the “document” has many Russianisms and typical errors. The Russian origin of the letter is also evidenced by the address to the Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland. In the cap of the forgery, the name “Paulina” is indicated in the Russian dative case (“Pauline”) instead of the Ukrainian “Paulini”.

Taking advantage of the lack of information among Ukrainians, Russian propaganda spreads conspiracy theories with the aim of undermining citizens’ trust in the authorities and directing their discontent to Kyiv, but not to Moscow, which created this crisis by striking Ukrainian energy facilities.
