Description of the fake LIE

The American newspaper The New York Times published shocking eyewitness accounts about the treatment of civilians by Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region, allegedly “shooting at civilians fleeing and laying mines on roads, creating a deadly threat for locals.” This was reported by Russian media.

Refutation TRUTH

Once again, Russian propaganda distorted the true content of a foreign media article, manipulating facts and taking excerpts out of context.

The NYT article describes instances of civilian vehicles being shelled in the conflict zone and civilian casualties. The article’s authors emphasize that, while the Russian side has accused the Ukrainian Armed Forces of these crimes, there is no evidence of Ukrainian involvement in them.

Interestingly, the Kremlin propagandists apparently have not decided how to use the NYT article. Therefore, some of the liars (including the “Pravda” network of websites aimed at foreign audiences) attributed “covering up for criminals” to the American publication, while others attributed “admitting the crimes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces” to it.

Such actions are aimed not only at discrediting Ukraine and the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ operations in the Kursk region, but also at undermining the trust of audiences in the United States and the West as a whole in their own media.
